As-salamu’alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
This issue has been a long time coming, and I’m glad we can finally share it with those eagerly awaiting its arrival!
The CSIS has been busy with a number of projects including raising awareness of Islam, running events, fund raising and providing support and advice for members. Our aim as the Civil Service Islamic Society is to encourage dialogue and understanding with our colleagues. To celebrate diversity and help ensure the Society is representative of all the Muslims in the Civil Service and the mainstream Muslim community. Insha’Allah in the coming months we can achieve more with the interest and dedication of our volunteers and members.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Editorial team, CoM and the contributors to this newsletter, and I look forward to receiving contributions from long standing members and hopefully new members in the next issue.
